Walmart to Slash iPhone 5C and 5S Prices to $29 and $99 Friday

Walmart will cut the prices of the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S to $29 and $99 with a two-year contract Friday, a company spokesperson told CNET.
The savings amount to $20 (down from $49) for the iPhone 5C and $50 (down from $149) for the iPhone 5S, with the offer starting in Walmart stores at 9AM local time.
These are the prices for the 16GB versions of the devices; the prices will be lowered for 32GB variants as well, claims Engadget, but the details on that weren't made public yet.
Additionally, Walmart will also lower the price of the fifth-gen iPod Touch 16GB — from $209 to $195 — on Friday.
Walmart has launched similar deals before, but this one is permanent — a logical move since Apple is expected to launch at least one new version of the iPhone in the summer.
Radioshack has had a similar promotion for several weeks now, with the prices being identical to Walmart's: $99 for the iPhone 5S and $29 for the iPhone 5C.
